A compact and reasonably priced laptop that has no faults.
Acer presented Swift Go, its laptop series, at CES 2023. The Swift Go laptop series is powered by Intel as well as AMD CPUs. The AMD Ryzen-powered laptop was introduced in March of this year in India, and today, we’ll review the basic model of the Swift Go 14. It’s aimed at urban teen who wants the most stylish and elegant laptop that is both portable and robust. Let’s see whether Swift Go 14 is a good choice for you. Swift Go 14 checks all the boxes.
Acer Swift Go 14 price in India.
The Acer Swift Go 14 is available in Prodigy Pink and Pure Silver. The laptop is priced at just Rs. 59,999 in the Acer India online store. It is the model that we’ll be testing. This model comes equipped with the AMD Ryzen 5 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and an SSD with 512GB capacity. For around Rs. 55,000 more, you could have the same configuration equipped with 16GB RAM.
Acer Swift Go 14 Review design and features.
It’s a great device for the price. Acer Swift Go 14 features a chassis made of metal, which is why it has an elegant design and feel. It’s also surprisingly small and light, measuring 15.9mm thick and 1.25kg in weight. The pink model looks pretty and improves in popularity after a few years. It comes with a variety of ports the size of a 14-inch laptop. There are two USB 3.2 (Gen1) Type-C ports to charge, HDMI, a USB 3.2 (Gen1) Type-A port, a USB 2.0 Type-A port, the headphone jack, and the Kensington lock. It doesn’t include an SD card reader, which isn’t a complete loss. The right-hand part of the laptop consists of two LEDs that indicate the power and activity status.
The backlit keyboard of the Acer Swift Go 14 is beautifully laid out, and the keys are responsive and quiet. The fingerprint sensor is located in the power button that wiggles when pressed, but no other keys; however, it works perfectly for authentication. The trackpad does an excellent job at tracking, giving you plenty of space to rest your hands.
The 14-inch screen has an aspect ratio 16:9, making it perfect for viewing most videos. The Acer Swift Go 14 uses an IPS display panel with an HD (1920×1080) resolution. It also has a matte, anti-glare surface. The display has the highest brightness of 300 nits, which I discovered to be more than adequate. The webcam at 1080p is unnoticeable and is situated right over the display. It is hidden. Acer Swift Go 14 ships with a USB 65W Type-C charger in the box.

Acer Swift Go 14 Review specifications and software.
The Acer Swift Go 14 features an AMD Ryzen 5 7530U CPU with 6 CPU processor cores. It is part of AMD’s refresh of mobile processors revealed at CES last year. The model, however, is based on the refreshed Zen 3 architecture, unlike the 7040 series, which uses the most up-to-date Zen 4 architecture. It’s the only processor configuration Acer provides to customers in India for the Swift Go 14 series. Storage is handled by an NVMe PCIe Gen3 512GB SSD with 8GB of memory. It also has Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and three batteries of 50WHr.
It comes with Acer Swift Go 14, ships with Windows 11 Home, all the standard preinstalled applications like Microsoft Office Home and Student McAfee’s antivirus, and several other software from Acer to help with system diagnostics and keeping drivers up-to-date.
Acer Swift Go 14 Review performance and battery life.
The general functionality of Acer Swift Go 14 is extremely good. Running is cool, and the fans don’t sound while performing basic tasks. However, you will hear them when gaming. The typing angle was quite comfortable as the base was raised slightly while the lid remained open. The keyboard’s backlighting is relaxing, and the display has enough brightness for outside use during the daytime. Applications load fast, and I haven’t experienced any lack of power.
The stereo speakers can be quite loud but don’t sound all good. The games run fairly well on onboard Radeon graphics. I got smooth frame rates in Fortnite using moderate graphics, running at the native resolution of the display. When testing synthetic gaming, like 3DMark, The Acer Swift Go 14 returned 1 268 points in the Time Spy test suite and 13,570 in Night Raid. The CPU as well as SSD performance was impressive. The laptop was able to score 566 and 3,664 points in Cinebench R20. It also returned an average speed of nearly 1.5GB/s for random and sequential tests using SiSoft Sandra. The write speeds were slower, at 900MB/s.
The performance of video rendering and encoding was also very excellent. The Acer Swift Go 14 took 45 seconds to encode the 1.3GB AVI file to H.265 MKV. In contrast, the BMW test scene we tested in Blender required 6 mins, just 18 seconds, to create. These were slower (better) times when compared to the Intel Core i5-1335U processor that we have recently tested using our Dell Inspiron 16 2-in-1.
Battery life is another major feature of this Acer Swift Go 14. Compared to its size, it ran for three hours and 26 minutes on the Battery Eater Pro test. Based on my routine, I had about 7 hours of continuous use before the battery dropped lower than 10 percent. According to these estimates, getting 10 hours of usage in a single battery (or more) is feasible, provided you don’t make it a habit to use it continuously. Laptops can be charged quite quickly using the included charger. You can expect to get about 70% charge in just one hour.
Acer Swift Go 14 Review Verdict
It’s difficult to be disappointed with this model. Acer Swift Go 14 is everything you’d want from a slim, light laptop. And that’s before even considering the cost. At Rs. 59,999 (less in sales), You get an attractively designed laptop that has excellent performance and a lengthy battery life. The speakers may be uninspiring, and the wavy power button is off-putting in a well-constructed computer (or it could be just the case with our model). It’s a great laptop. Swift Go 14 should be considered for a small Windows laptop that costs less than $. 60,000, that won’t compromise battery longevity.
